The Arthur Lockhart Resource Institute is a non for profit human/social organization committed to enriching, empowering and encouraging positive growth of the residents of the Austin/West Garfield Community in Chicago, Illinois.
The purpose of the Arthur Lockhart Resource Institute is to improve the economic, education, psychological, social experiences and health of the Austin/West Garfield Community.
For more than 27 years, the Arthur Lockhart Resource Institute has been dedicated to the advancement and improvement of the residents in the Austin/West Garfield Community on the Westside of Chicago. 
We have created partnerships with civic organizations, churches and government agencies in order to provide support for individuals and families in the Austin/West Garfield Community.
Started by its Founder, the late Dr. Arthur Lockhart, the former Pastor of Healing Temple Church of God In Christ, the Arthur Lockhart Resource Institute continues to grow its programs and services to the community.

Standup for Veterans Program

Saving Lives One Veteran at a Time

With our mission always in mind, we work tirelessly to improve the quality of life for our Veterans and their Families.  


We provide

Resources and Referrals

for housing, employment opportunities and mental health services.  

First Aid Trainigs and seminars in Mental Health, Finance and Nutrition.

Nutritional meals in a family set envirionment with entertainment and activities for the Veteran and their family on a monthly basis.

Health & wellness checks, care packages, field trips and newsletters. 

Senior Care Program

One at a Time

With this initiative, our goal is to provide a space where seniors are loved and supported through weekly health screenings provided by a qualified staff of Nurses and Community Service hospitals, food distribution, care packages, senior social services and followup.  These services are designed to provide seniors with resources that will help them offset  monthly expenses while maintainting a healthy lifestyle.

Youth Mentoring

Helping The Community

We are dedicated to supporting youth through our Male Mentoring Program and our Girls Rock program.  These programs provide youth leadership, reading, workshops for conflict resolutions, role modeling, karate and the arts.

With our organization’s mission always in mind, we strive to find new strategies for dealing with this challenge.
